Sometimes 50fps is not fast enough

For example, trying to get diving terns right at the point of impact, at 50fps, there should be 20ms between frames. During that time the tern’s head has moved from a few inches above the water to below it.
Ignoring the fact that it’s already not easy to follow them during the dive (the tendency is to overshoot), even following them correctly still result in so many misses.

It took nearly 3K frames to get one or two decent dive shots.

How about the 120fps @4906 x 2160 of GH6? :slightly_smiling_face:

Wildlife photography is never easy! You finally nailed it so I would be very happy with what you achieved. Must be much harder with other camera systems that don’t support 50 fps.
