It’s quite possible I’m simply obtuse. 
If I upload a photo in one thread, do I need to re-upload it if I want to use the same photo in another thread? That seems an inefficient use of server space.

You can use bbcode or html to link to an existing image.
e.g.

or ‘copy/paste’ the image from a prior post?

not having an ‘image gallery’ is a bit inconvenient if the prior post is not easily found, for whatever reason.
… I do not ‘see’ anywhere which holds the images posted by my ‘user’. That would be a nice feature, as we get into a longer period of time here…

Some kind of gallery functionality seems like it would be useful and deserves to be on our roadmap.
