The 90mm is one of the first lenses released by OM System since Olympus sold its camera division. it is the first M.Zuiko macro lens in the PRO series. At almost $1,500, it costs a lot more than the 30mm or 60mm macro lenses, but in return, you get Sync IS image stabilization, a focal length for macro you won’t find in any other Micro Four Thirds lens, weathersealing, and “ultra-high” magnification shooting. There is no other OMDS or Olympus lens that offers this much magnification.
If you love macro photography and have the money to spend, this lens is a worthy investment. Early adopters report great satisfaction with the 90mm. It is compatible with the teleconverters that Olympus/OM System makes for the Micro Four Thirds mount, like the MC-20, which only work with a handful of other M.Zuiko lenses (such as the 40-150mm, 150mm-400mm, or 300mm). Pair with an OM-1, E-M1X, or E-M1 Mark III for the best image stabilization performance.
